From the application to the show!

Who would have thought it. When I was in my early 20s, I was still sitting on the couch at my parents' house and watching the first episodes of the start-up show "Die Höhle der Löwen" together with my boyfriend at the time. I said to him, "When you stand in front of the lions with your own idea, then you've made it." At that time, I never thought I would get this chance myself.

We have already told you a lot about my very personal and emotional founding story. The appearance on "Die Höhle der Löwen" is a huge opportunity for SUMMERSAVER that I have always dreamed of.

I am often asked how I came to apply for the start-up show. For me, it was relatively obvious. I've been convinced of our anti-wound rub stick since day 1 - the question would have been more like, why wouldn't we try it?

I started researching and became aware of the castings for the show. Fix I had all the important information on the application form together - I just had to quickly write the email and then it started. If I remember correctly, I received a call from Sony's "Die Höhle der Löwen" team after just one or two days. Our SUMMERSAVER seemed to have piqued the curiosity of the team.

Shortly after, I found myself very excited in a cool co-working space in Hamburg and took part in the casting.

When we received the call a few weeks later that we would get the chance to pitch in front of the lions, I could hardly believe it. It felt surreal, SUMMERSAVER in "Die Höhle der Löwen" - my product idea! Awesome, I've been such a huge fan of the startup show since the first season, now I would be able to be a part of it myself.

Alisa and I were thrilled as hell and immediately started with the preparations. Countless questions came up: What should the set look like? How do we present the application? How do we prepare an optimal pitch?

We immediately got to work and got started.

One night before the show, I practiced the pitch over and over again in front of Alisa in the hotel room. Each time, I got muddled up in exactly the same place. Slowly, my nervousness grew; after all, I was about to have the professional opportunity of a lifetime.

The next morning we were already standing in the backstage room on the set. Our bags were packed with coconuts, peaches and a sun chair. We wanted to bring the SUMMERSAVER feeling directly to the lions.

This time will simply remain unforgettable for us.
